While hoovering around the bankside of London I came across this great example of expressionism in painting, by Wassily Kandinsky, a lawyer-turned-artist. I encounter a deep peace in his work, and have enjoyed a great retrospective of his in Helsinki, juxtaposed alongside Marc Chagall and other great painters.
