If you have one thing left to do in 2013 then it must be to check out the extraordinary release
Sundark and Riverlight by Patrick Wolf. I was lucky to see Patrick play a few tracks in an acoustic session in Strasbourg in November 2012, and it gave me a good impression of what the album with encompass, namely sharp acoustic beats in a good folk tradition. It might be advised to start with the
Overture, and then move onto
Hard Times,
Together, and a cover of Lana del Rey's
Born to Die, which has also received much acclaim.
Now for some picturesque impressions of Bloomsbury in the afternoon, with its grand universities and parks.
I end with some night shots around Southwark and a picture from the South London Gallery in Peckham.
